Pro Treatment Trial: LaseMD GLO Laser Treatment

I recently had a chance to try a LaseMD GLO treatment, a non-ablative laser treatment that is customized to meet your skin’s needs. The treatment is safe for all skin types and can be used for anti-aging, age spots, sun spots, freckles, pigment reduction, actinic keratosis and sun damage. The LaseMD GLO treatment varies from other laser treatments in that it combines proprietary serums with the benefits of the laser – plus, there is no downtime.

The laser treatment creates microscopic wounds to the epidermis which enables the serum applied afterwards to penetrate more effectively and deliver superior results. Patients can choose from 4 different serums – based on their treatment goals – VA Ampoule (Retinol/Vitamin A – minimize appearance of wrinkles), TA Ampoule (Tranexamic Acid – treats redness, brightens skin), RS Ampoule (Resveratrol- anti-aging) and VC Ampoule (Ascorbic Acid/Vitamin C – brightening, anti-aging).

I went to Dr. Michelle Henry of Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York for my treatment.  Before the LaseMD GLO treatment, Dr. Henry’s nurse applied lidocaine cream to my entire face and left it on for approximately 20+ minutes to ensure that I would be completely comfortable during the laser treatment. After the cream was removed, Dr. Henry gently and methodically moved the laser applicator across my face. The laser portion of the treatment took less than 10 minutes.

I’ve had a few different laser treatments in the past and have almost always had to give myself the “this pain/discomfort will be worth it” speech. But there was not even the slightest bit of discomfort during the LaseMD GLO treatment. I could feel warmth and tingling, but no pain. So, if you have a low pain threshold, like I do, this is the laser treatment for you.

After the laser portion of my treatment was finished, Dr. Henry applied the VC Ampoule to my skin. Lastly, sunscreen was applied to protect my skin from the afternoon sun. Afterwards, my skin looked slightly flushed (pink-ish), but no irritation, burning or pain.

Immediately after the LaseMD GLO treatment

I was able to continue with my planned activities and no one was the wiser that I had just had a laser treatment. I immediately noticed that my pores looked smaller and my skin looked smoother. Laser treatments, like this one, stimulate the collagen within and below the skin kick-starting collagen production. As such, I can look forward to seeing more results in the coming weeks.

I received this treatment courtesy of Lutronic. There was no promise of coverage on Ageist Beauty in exchange for the treatment. The above represents my true thoughts and opinions about the LaseMD GLO treatment.
