Ageist Beauty Quick Pick: Hairfinity Gentle Cleanse Shampoo

I have tried many, many different shampoos over the years – everything from whatever was on sale at the grocery store to stylist-recommended ones purchased in-salon to super niche premium products. In fact, as a child my mom used to buy Pantene from her friend who worked at the pharmaceutical company that created it many, many years before it was purchased by P&G and became a household name. This is to just show my years-long dedication to tracking down shampoos that will leave my scalp feeling clean without stripping and damaging my thick, naturally wavy/curly hair.

Hairfinity Gentle Cleanse Shampoo (retail: $22) is one of those rare finds that leaves my hair so well-hydrated post-shampoo that it feels as if I have already conditioned my hair. Free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil and petroleum, it is made with more than 70% natural ingredients. Plant extracts (marigold, horsetail stem, chamomile flower), essential oils (lavender, peppermint and others), biotin and hydrolyzed collagen are combined to create a shampoo that not only cleanses hair, but removes product buildup leaving it feeling refreshed and looking shiny and healthy.
