I am pretty fastidious in my grooming. I shower daily, have regular eyebrow appointments, wash away the grays, make sure my nails are neatly done, keep up with hair removal and have a multi-step facial cleansing process. I’m almost obsessive with everything except for.. my feet. Yes, I get regular pedicures during sandal season and occasional ones during the fall and winter when I can no longer stand the sight of creeping cuticles and chipped polish. However, my day-to-day maintenance of my feet is nonexistent. I work from home and spend an inordinate amount of time barefoot. We have no carpeting in our house, so my feet are constantly coming into contact with hard surfaces (hardwood and tile) and have woefully little contact with any moisture. As such, my feet are pretty much always dry and scaly. Gross – I know. On occasion, at my dear husband’s behest, I will put on a foot cream and socks in any attempt to hydrate my feet. But, frankly it’s not enough (warning to the squeamish – graphic photos of feet below).
Thank goodness for the Clarisonic Pedi Foot Transformation Set. Clarisonic has taken their patented sonic method used in the Clarisonic face and body brushes and developed the ultimate smoothing and cleansing tool for feet. Make no mistake this is no simple foot brush or file. The Pedi truly does transform your feet. The set is a multi-step system for making and keeping your feet soft, smooth and healthy.
The first step is the Smoothing Disc. The Smooth Disc gently, but effectly, smoothes any calluses or rough spots on the feet. Step 2 is the Pedi Buff foot smoothing treatment that is used in conjunction with the Wet/Dry Buffing Brush Head. The combination of the sonic brush head and the exfoliating beads and essential oils in the Pedi Buff serve to cleanse and soften the feet. Step 3 is the application of Pedi-Boost. Pedi -Boost is an AHA peel for the feet. It helps with cell renewal ensuring that the skin on your feet is refreshed with newer, softer skin more often. After waiting 3-5 minutes for the Pedi-Boost to absorb, the last step is the Pedi-Balm, a non-greasy, hydrating balm. The Smoothing Disc and Pedi Boost are for use twice weekly, but the other steps can be done daily. It’s worth it, trust me.
The Clarisonic Pedi is saving relationships, folks.
