I’m not one to wax poetic on about the benefits of one nail polish over another. I’m semi-loyal to a couple of brands based on the fact that their polishes seem to stay on my frequently washed fingers for longer than a couple of days and the brush helps rather than hinders my ability to polish my nails. Oh yeah, and I must like the shades offered. But, that’s pretty much it.
However, Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamoured Hi-Shine Lacquer in “Funny Girl” is worthy of some props. I typically don’t wear nude/beige shades. The primary reason is that I don’t like the way they look on my nails. They always seem to go on streaky and look uneven, therefore leading me to pile on multiple coats in an attempt at an even finish. The Marc Jacobs Beauty polish went on smoothly. Yes, it required a second coat, but the polish seemed to be thicker/heftier than the other nudes I have tried. The brush is also perfect, wide enough to facilitate a smooth even coat, but narrow enough to effectively access the crevices between the nail bed and cuticle.
In short, the polish is a bit of a miracle worker – able to make this severely right-handed person achieve a more than decent manicure on both hands. No small feat.
