I decided to try something different on my recent trip to Paris. Instead of filling every spare molecule of space in my travel bag with Saint Laurent shoes, Zadig et Voltaire tees, Sandro skirts and the like, I wanted to do a Foodie & Beauty tour. So, by day I scoured Parisian pharmacies and boutiques for new beauty products to try. By late afternoon and evening, I tasted many (maybe too many) of the culinary delights (and wine!) that Paris has to offer. This include three, yes three, visits to the absolutely sublime bread bakery, Du Pain et Des Idees (translation: Of Bread & Ideas). I’ll probably kick myself later for sharing my secret happy place with everyone, but I figure they need to have enough business to stay open until I can get myself back there. I digress.. back to the beauty.
Here are some of the beauty goodies that I picked up during my stay. Stay tuned for full reviews on the crème de la crème.
For those that don’t have a voyage to Paris on the horizon, most of these brands can be found online or at high-end pharmacies and boutiques. My go-to spot for European and hard-to-find specialty beauty brands is New London Pharmacy in New York City.
