After testing many BB creams it has become clear that all BB creams are not created equally. Although they are all intended to be multi-tasking, all-in-one products that moisturize, provide some level of sun protection, minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, etc. – some are clearly in a class by themselves. Like Jane Iredale’s Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream.
Beyond the typical BB cream duties, Glow Time actually nourishes your skin. It is infused with natural fruit extracts – such as Apple Extract to help exfoliate and rejuvenate skin and Grapefruit Extract to lessen the appearance of pores and uneven skin tone. Unlike other BB creams that offer a minimal SPF 15, Glow Time contains a broad spectrum SPF 25 UVA PA++ that makes it water-resistant for up to 40 minutes. Additionally, the natural minerals in it not only protect skin from UV damage but also help to provide a superior finish that makes pores nearly undetectable (*squeals with joy*).

One thing to be aware of is that this is a full coverage BB cream - unlike most other BBs that provide sheer coverage – and a tiny bit goes a long way. I applied three small candy dot-sized amount of Glow Time on my face, blended it using a foundation brush and it easily provided enough coverage for my entire face. Glow Time comes in six different shades. Even though the darkest shade (BB11) – which I wear – would probably suit up to only an NC42, the range of shades does seem like it would work for a greater variety of skin tones than many of the other BB creams available.

In the “After” photo, I am only wearing Glow Time BB Cream and a light dusting of Jane Iredale’s amazing Triple Pearl Powder. Triple Pearl Powder is a light-diffusing finishing powder that smooths and brightens skin leaving a gorgeous luminous finish. It can be used on top of BB cream, tinted moisturizer, foundation, etc. But, I have also used it solo over my moisturizer for days when I don’t need or want to wear makeup, but still want to brighten and even my skin for an “is she or isn’t she wearing makeup” look.
With only Jane Iredale Glow Time BB11 and Triple Pearl Powder, no other makeup.
