Below are a some of the exciting new beauty products (and services) coming down the pike in the coming weeks and months – guaranteed to make us smile as we while away the cold winter months. Good news! Makeup in vibrant colors and jeweltones and nail art will continue to be trends in 2013.
Essie “Sleek Stick” Nail Stickers – Essie has finally jumped into the nail sticker/wrap game (a la Sally Hansen Salon Effects). They come in 12 different designs with names like Don’t Cheetah on Me, Embrace the Lace, Love to Love You, and So Haute! They retail for $10.25. NARS Spring 2013 Collection – We barely have a foot in Winter, but of course the fashion and beauty world is firmly in Spring mode. One of our favorite cosmetics brands, NAR Cosmetics, is launching their Spring Color Collection, which will include the Seduction blush in “Sangria” (far left in above photo). I’m pretending that this gorgeous shade was made just for me since I’m sangria-obsessed since last summer’s trip to Palma, Spain. NARS is also launching a Light Reflecting Setting Powder, which helps to enhance the appearance of your foundation and make your skin look more radiant. Both will launch on narscosmetics.com on January 15.
Sephora + Pantone Universe Color of the Year – Sephora and Pantone recently announced that the color of the year is Emerald Green. Although, I loved last year’s Color of the Year Tangerine, I couldn’t think of many ways to incorporate it into my look beyond nail a color. Green is my favorite color and one of those colors that nearly everyone can wear depending on the formulation. The Sephora + Pantone Universe 2013 Color of the Year Emerald Collection will be available at Sephora starting in March. The collection will include everything from a trio of coordinating eyeshadows to a richly pigmented Emerald mascara to a duo of pretty pink blushes to compliment other Emerald cosmetics.
Hair Rules Salon + Polish Bar – Good news for those in the NYC-area, the famed Hair Rules Salon now offers nail services. So after you get your hair cut by texture guru, Dickey, you can then get your brows waxed, a manicure or one of the many other services offered.
