Online fashion rental services are nothing new. From Bag, Borrow or Steal - which rents handbags and other accessories – and rose to fame when mentioned by Carrie’s assistant in the first Sex & The City film – to Rent the Runway, which has saved many a partygoer from investing in a new outfit or jewelry to be worn for just one night. Both are genius, I say. Recently, a new service launched that applies this concept to beauty – nail polish, specifically.
Lacquerous, is a new online nail polish service that allows you to keep up with the latest in nail polish trends without breaking the bank. Lacquerous members fill out a profile that tells the service your shade preferences. For an $18 monthly fee, you can select three luxury polishes. Lacquerous offers high-end brands such as Chanel, Tom Ford Beauty, Butter London, and MAC. At the end of the month, use the prepaid return packaging to return the polishes. You can then receive a new set of three polishes.
Would you consider using a service that allowed you to rent nail polish or other beauty products?
