Here are some of our favorite beauty looks from the Spring/Summer 2013 New York Fashion Week that have us mentally hopping and skipping over Fall and Winter and right into the new year and these gorgeous looks.
Helmut Lang (makeup by NARS): Love this fresh, clean look. The skin is simple and barely covered. The eyes and lips look just slightly defined as if it’s the end of the day and most of the days makeup has faded away. Still very pretty and natural.
Angel Sanchez (nails by CND): The light pink color of the monochromatic French manicures with contrasting shiny/matte finish is an interesting take on the current mixed color French mani trend. The pointed talon-like shape adds a bit of edge to the look.
Cushnie et Ochs (makeup by Maybelline): It’s all about the eyes! Natural, clean makeup with a modern cat eye and voluminous lashes and a dramatic, full brow.
Naeem Khan (makeup by NARS): The look was inspired by the late Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor with her trademark center part and dark lipstick. I love the simple sophistication of the bold brow, matte skin and the contrasting glossy, dark lip.
Vera Wang (makeup by Cle de Peau): This soft bronze-y look is my favorite. The makeup has a barely there, sun-kissed look but the golden smoky eye looks super modern and fresh. The barely there brows are an interesting contrast to the bold brows seen at many other shows.
Victoria Beckham (nails by CND): Such a refreshing departure from complicated color mixtures, nail art, and 3-D accents. The nails at this show were short, natural and nude.
