A little something about me – I love to walk when I’m away on vacation. We rarely take taxis or public transportation when traveling. If I don’t walk at least 15,000 steps in a day while on vacation, I feel disappointed. It’s great because the walking serves as exercise helping to offset the calories from the mountains of bread, cheese, olives, and meat flushed down with liters of sangria that I have been consuming for the past 8 days. On the flip side, I have been walking most of those 15,000 daily steps in cute sandals. Since my feet are exposed so much they have quickly become, well.. gross. Even though I had a pedicure just before leaving home my heels are as dry and scaly as those of a pedi-virgin.
I have been seriously considering getting a fish pedicure since seeing one at a spa down the street from my hotel. However, my completely neurotic side got the best of me after googling “fish pedicure” and seeing a minor reference to catching an immune deficiency disease due to the fish and tanks being used on various clients. Getting the unproven 100 Euro pedicure at the hotel’s spa wasn’t really appealing either.
Fortunately, I brought along some new beauty products to test out while on vacation and one happened to save the day. Me & The Girls Limonum Body Scrub is organic, vegan and made with raw organic sugar cane, coconut oil, cupuacu seed butter, lemon and avocado butter. The scrub is one of the innovative new products I discovered at this year’s HBA Splash Pavilion. Me & The Girls Limonum Body Scrub was voted the 2012 best new beauty product. The fine-grain sugar cane gently exfoliates and smooth your skin while the other ingredients hydrate, soften and revitalize it. I simply applied the scrub to my feet in a circular motion and let is sit on my feet while I washed the rest of my body, allowing the coconut oil and butters to soak into my feet and repair the dry skin. After rinsing the scrub off, I patted my feet dry. The result was soft, smooth, divinely scented feet ready to conquer the next beautiful calle in Palma.
