As part of my post-wash hairstyling process, I typically finish my hair (hair type: dry/damaged, chemically processed) with a small amount of Argan oil to control any frizzy ends and give my hair a smooth, shiny and healthy appearance. However, during the summer months I find that using Argan oil makes my hair feel and look greasy – decreasing the amount of time I can go between washes. I typically wash it 2-3 times per week (to prevent my hair from becoming even more dry than it already is).
I was recently introduced to Living Proof Restore Revitalizing Spray and it delivers the same results I achieved with Argan oil – smooth, healthy, frizz-free hair – in a summer heat-friendly form. In addition to leaving my hair smooth, the spray protects hair from heat and UV damage – from heat styling tools (like my beloved flat iron), as well as UVA and UVB rays.
The product comes out as a super fine mist and can be used on either wet or dry hair. On wet hair, it can be applied by sectioning the hair into 2 inch sections, detangling the hair and then spraying it as you go (from approximately 6” away) for 1 to 2 seconds and styling as usual. When applied on dry hair, it can be used as a final step to polish and smooth the hair and give it additional shine or when used just prior to flat ironing or curling hair for additional protection from heat damage and to help your style stay longer.
