This week, I went to the HBA Global Expo in New York City. HBA is a conference focused on product development for the cosmetics, personal care, skin care, fragrance and wellness industries. Although the event focuses on innovation and product development, I thought it might be a good opportunity to spot some new beauty trends and get a peek at some the products that will be the must-have beauty finds in the coming months. HBA didn’t disappoint. At the event’s SPLASH finished products pavilion, emerging companies (two years or less) were able to showcase their products before a jury of beauty industry insiders and gain valuable exposure.
Here are some of my favorite products spotted at HBA’s SPLASH Pavilion: 
Karuna – Karuna delivers a fresh, new take on facials by infusing all-natural fiber cloth face masks with ingredients designed to tackle specific skin concerns. The line includes 9 different masks: Hydrating, Exfoliating, Clarifying, Age-Defying, Karma Kit (mask sampler), Brightening, Anti-oxidant, Renewal Eye and Karuna Luxe.
Cane + Austin - Cane + Austin was founded by dermatologist, Dr. Craig Austin. All of the line’s products include Glycolic Acid derived from sugar cane. I’m most looking forward to trying their Ultra Sheer Weightless Sunscreen (SPF 55). It’s super light, not sticky, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave the tell-tale chalky mask that many sunscreens leave behind.
Furlesse - Furlesse makes a line of non-latex, hypoallergenic patches that can be applied to facial skin to help minimize the appearance of fine lines. The line features patches for the following problem areas: 11s (those dastardly vertical lines between the eyebrows), rows, lipsticks and crows. Potentially a good option for those Botox-phobes out there!
Sexual Health Enthusiasts AfterCare - SHE’s AfterCare line is a body care system intended for use pre- and post-intimacy. However, I think the products can be used at any time to soothe a women’s sensitive skin. Particularly, the Natural Cleansing Foam which has vitamin B and Calendula which act as natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidants.
