Sorry, but we have to take a break from regularly scheduled programming to toot our own horn for just a moment. We were recently notified that we were an alternate finalist in the 2012 Allure Beauty Blogger Awards. What does an “alternate finalist” mean? It means that this blog was picked from hundreds of submissions to compete in the Allure Beauty Blogger Awards should one of the 15 finalists not be able to submit her/his challenges on time, etc.
So, while we didn’t get to the point of being included in the formal competition, we were able to do the challenges that you will seeing on allure.com in the coming weeks and it was a lot of fun! But, even bigger than that it is a thrill to see that the editors over at Allure, THE magazine for beauty lovers saw something in this little blog that has only been around for a year. I guess that means we can say we are the 18th best beauty blog? LOL. We’re on the radar and hopefully next year we’ll be #1!
In the meantime, we’re throwing our support behind finalist, and our blog friend, Lara Ramos at theglossarie.com. She smart, authentic and also super nice. So go vote for her!
