Mataano’s gorgeous, twin designers, Ayaan and Idyl Mohallim, filled their Fall 2012 presentation with ultra-feminine glamour. The makeup look, created by Valente Frazier for IMAN Cosmetics, featured sheer skin with only minimal concealer to complement the pearlescent mauve and black in the collection. The eyes were the clear centerpiece of the face. Jet black eyeliner was smudged around the eye to create a smokey cat eye effect. Bronzer was used along the hairline to give the models a luminescent glow. The lips were downplayed with a pale/flesh tone.
The hair, created by Rita Hazan, was clean and simple. The models’ hair was pulled back into two long, straight ponytails over top of one another. The look enabled the hair to have some dimension from the side, but still have the eye makeup be a focal point.
