Product Review: Caudalie Beauty Elixir

For me, Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir is like the Prose IV of beauty products. Not familiar with Prose IV? Well, it is a fashion line of multi-functional clothes. Think, a bat-winged sweater that can be worn upside-down or a trench with a detachable bottom. Ok, enough with the abstract fashion references – what I’m trying to say is that Beauty Elixir is my go-to multi-functional beauty product. I use it for everything.

Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir is a spray-on toner that clarifies and brightens your complexion. The spray is made with a mix of plants and essential oils that refresh your skin while also delivering visible results. It has extracts from grapes and roses to brighten the skin; essential oil of rosemary to refresh; orange blossom for hydration; and benzoin, myrrh and mint to soothe and calm. To apply Beauty Elixir, shake gently to ensure the essential oils are fully mixed into the toner. Next, simply hold the spray bottle 5-7 inches away from your face and spray.

I use it several times a day – for immediate hydration just after cleansing my face; as a hydrating base before applying my tinted moisturizer; after my makeup is complete to set it; as a mid-day pick-me-up; to cool off post-workout; and as a post-cleansing step to refresh my skin just prior to bed – anytime I need to soothe and refresh my skin.

Retail price: $46 (100 ml)

Hint: also available in a 30 ml size ($16) that’s perfect for a stocking stuffer!
