Health and Beauty Resolution #2 – Spa Treatments

I love spa treatments as much as the next woman. One of the first things I do when on vacation is head to the hotel/resort spa and sign-up for a massage, a facial, a body treatment, or perhaps all three. However, when I’m at home I find it difficult to squeeze regular spa treatments into my schedule. I convince myself that there are other things on which I should be spending my money, that I don’t have the time, that I could do a DIY treatment at home for far less money (even though I never do), etc.

Taking time out to relax with a spa treatment is good for your physical being, as well as your mental well-being. Giving yourself the time to disconnect from the daily minutiae and reconnect with yourself is priceless.

For 2012, I’m going to make sure that I get a spa treatment at least once a quarter. I know you hardcore spa-goers are probably rolling your eyes right now. But, believe me quarterly is a stretch goal for me.

Do you treat yourself to regular spa treatments? If so, what are your favorites – scrubs, massages, facials?
