Product Review: Caudalie Vinoperfect Complexion Correcting Radiance Serum

Over the past few years, I’ve noticed an increase in the number of “beauty marks” on the sides of my face and top part of my cheeks. At first, I thought they looked nice, like dancing sun-kissed freckles to add some additional detail to my face. I told myself they were added points of interest, like studs or crystals on a favorite belt. Well, I thought they were cute until I realized they were age spots and were beginning to increase exponentially.

This started my search for a solution to help lessen the appearance of my “beauty marks”.  One of the best products I have tried is Caudalie’s Vinoperfect Correcting Radiance Serum. The serum contains Viniferine a molecule that is found in the stalks of grapevines. In addition to free radical protection, it also helps to clear the complexion and reduce pigmentation. Caudalie’s patented version of Viniferine is 62 times more effective than Vitamin C.

I used the serum as part of my multi-step skincare regimen. As mentioned in a previous post, I use a prescription cleanser, eye cream, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen. The Caudalie serum has the feel of a nice very lightweight lotion. I prefer this to the some what watery or oily feel that some serums tend to have. The serum goes on very smoothly, evenly, and was quickly absorbed into my skin. As for the scent (as you know by now, I’m a bit of a scent snob!), it has the lovely Caudalie grapeseed scent. The bottle that the serum comes in also has a dropper top to help ensure that you are using just the right amount of product.

I used the product 1-2 times daily. After using the serum for 6-8 weeks, I noticed that my skintone is more even and brighter. My age spots have significantly diminished and in some cases nearly disappeared. I also have not noticed any new age spots! I have not seen any major change in the couple of dark spots from the couple of acne blemishes that I have, however, I typically address those with a prescription hydroquinone or product.
