Today’s moral plague: Plastic Surgery?

Earlier this week, arguably three of the best living actresses Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and Rachel Weisz spoke out about the plague on society that is plastic surgery. Kate went so far as to say it is against her morals. Um, okay.

All I can feel is sad that three really talented woman are being reduced to making a formal statement about how they will manage their personal appearance over the years. Its feels like the behavior of people that are way too self-important or really desperate for some attention.

If being untouched by the syringe or scalpel is so important and central to your morals, is it something that you feel the need to make into a media event? Me thinks thou doth protest too much.

What do you think? Setting a good example or just a dire attempt at drudging up some PR?
