I first tried AmorePacific’s Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System (SEHDS) ($35) during a recent Sephora VIB event at the AmorePacific Spa in New York City. The scent was super refreshing and the fact that it is a pure botanical product piqued my interest.
The product is a light hydrating mist spray made from bamboo sap. It is oil-free and water-free increasing its hydration properties and helping to prep the skin for other treatments. It also includes a red ginseng extract (exclusive to AmorePacific) that acts as an anti-oxidant and helps with anti-aging.
The root of any skin issues I have had over the years (in addition to aging!) has always started with my inability to keep my skin fully hydrated. Even though I have combination skin, dryness seems to cause me to have breakouts much more than my oily T-zone. Typically, when I travel my skin tends to dry out even more due to the recycled air. So, I decided to really put AmorePacific’s Moisture Bound SEHDS to the test during my recent cruise.
I used the spray at least three times a day on my cruise. I used it to hydrate my skin post-cleansing, as well as set my makeup (bonus! it also gave me the dewy look that I adore). Finally, I used it to just plain cool off, since it was hot as heck on the cruise ship deck and strolling the streets of Bermuda. During the time I used the product my skin was soft, smooth, and seemed a bit brighter. I also love that I have found a way to continuously hydrate my skin throughout the day without disrupting my makeup.
Looking forward to incorporating this multi-tasking moisturizer into my Fall/Winter skincare routine.
