Product Review: NIA24 Physical Cleansing Scrub

I don’t really experiment much with my skincare routine because my skin is very sensitive. The slightest imbalance and I am headed for a breakout, followed by a dark mark that takes up to 2 months to disappear. Acne and dark marks combined with fine lines and wrinkles is not a good look.

I decided to try the NIA24 Physical Cleansing Scrub since I have used their Intensive Recovery Complex for over a year and have been very happy with it.

Cost: $35

Product Claims: Visibly improves dry patches and uneven texture; reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; improve skin tone, texture, and firmness.

AB Findings: I have only used the scrub 3-4 times since you are only supposed to use it 2-3 times per week. First of all, I LOVE the smell of all of the NIA24 products. They have a slight floral scent that is not overly sweet. Since it is a physical scrub it does have the rough texture one might expect, plus blue jojoba beads that are infused with Niacin to help fight sun damage. After rinsing off the scrub with warm water, my skin felt very clean and soft and looked luminous. I didn’t experience any of the post-scrub redness or irritation that I have experienced with other scrubs. I can’t say that I have experienced any change in my fine lines and wrinkles. Stay tuned for an update on that in a future post.

Pros: Left skin noticeably softer, smells great, didn’t irritate

Cons: Price (a bit pricey at $35 for 3.75 ounces)
